At cooberrie park wildlife sanctuary, hold a snake and hand feed their very friendly kangaroos and wallabies whilst you experience more than 350 fascinating native animals, you can cuddle a koala, across 70 species. They receive no government funding and rely solely on admission and donations. Their many parrots want to have a chat and dance. Get really close to their crocodiles and other reptile friends like large pythons, lizards, turtles and skinks. Their interactive animal show is at 1.00 p.m. Daily. Hold a koala for only aud15.00 extra and enjoy their swimming pool, rainforest, bushwalk and barbecue areas. The sanctuary can be found less than ten minutes from the capricorn resort, 28 minutes from rockhampton and 15 minutes from yeppoon beach. They successfully breed many endangered native animals including koalas, fox, potoroos, bettongs, cassowaries, koalas, sugar gliders, possums, wombats, emus, including dingoes, parrots and marsupials and have more than 350 animals, cassowaries, turtles and a large variety of native birds. Cooberrie park is the only wildlife sanctuary in central queensland that takes care of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife; the animals appreciate your support.

You can cuddle a koala, retain a crocodile, snake or lizard, play with birds, interact with playful monkeys and hand feed kangaroos AND we can be found just 28 minutes from Rockhampton and 15 minutes from Yeppoon Beach. Interact with the cute and playful Monkeys at Cooberrie Park. There are a number of very impaired European and South American trees at the park, as the original owner was a European Botanist. Then, 45 years ago animals started to reach and visitors were capable to visit and interact with the wildlife. To this day, Cooberrie Park has adopted the identical ethos inviting visitors to get up accessible and interact with a expansive range of animals. Cooberrie Park is a wildlife sanctuary and takes protection of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife that are then rehabilitated and released back to the wild. These animals are victims of car hits, dog and cat attacks, along with birds falling out of nests, ill and abandoned animals. Cooberrie Park has many helpers that help to maintain the park and look after our animals. Every year we receive many new injured, abandoned and neglected animals, and we want to help them all. A bag of animal food per person to feed our release roaming animals. You get to pat and hold some of these cool animals and you get to interrogate the keepers heaps of questions.
